“So, here “we”, American businesses, are. Each person sitting in the big chair now has an expectation of growth, limited government, cultural and moral improvements, reduced crime, lower interest rates, a stronger dollar, and, among many other factors that positively affect business, hope.”


With the advent of the Trump Inauguration on January 20th, and Republican majorities in the House and Senate, came the anticipation of our country’s needed restoration, and, by extension of Mr. Trump’s capabilities, our standard being illuminated to the world once again. Citizens with fervent curiosity wondered how those adjustments would unfold – and just how soon. Patience was required. The process would take time, despite the immediate, blurring speed President Trump used once his second inauguration in the Capital was complete.

Looking back, though, to about two years prior to the end of President Obama’s eight-year administration, I began telling anyone who would listen that we needed a “governor” as his replacement in the White House; a person who had vision, experience, and proven leadership as the head of an international organization, someone versed at being constrained by budget considerations, with delegation powers, broad responsibilities, and accountability for all of it. We needed a businessperson. A politician, any possible politician, would be wholly inadequate to perform the considerable remedies our country needed. It would be a disaster. We needed a governor who’d done it successfully.
