The lightbulb

Several years into my 17-year business ownership experience, I realized that my hardships and lessons could lessen the hardships of other business owners like myself. That was a long time ago… yet here we are, doing just that, just on a larger scale.

The articles I write are intended for Christians, presumably those who own businesses. Business principles are universal, so those who don’t live for Jesus can still gain a nugget of information as well. I hope they do. They are certainly welcome!

Read my words, hear my heart for business. See if what I write helps.

The tool bag

The tool bag carries the tools. I’ve been a Christian since November 1979. Two tours in the USAF, 17 years of business ownership, 17 years of management in a kinda large, family-owned company that ended with a forced retirement due to a private equity buyout… that’s a quick history of how I got here with lots of equipping along the way.

Meat and potatoes can hardly be called tools, but that’s the sweet spot, the foundation where everything else, no matter how sophisticated it becomes, is rooted. If there’s a problem at a higher level, it’s in the meat and potatoes level, too.

Having sufficient savvy and a good dose of wisdom helps remove the gristle in the meat and root the eyes from the potatoes.

The tools

The articles are one way to improve your business life in a complicated, challenging, business environment. Brief informational videos are forthcoming. Private, confidential consulting is available for those who swirl urgency into their morning coffee like creamer.

If your day is troubled by problems or other hindrances to your success, and they are beyond your reach, ask for help. That’s usually the hardest step. Take it.

The deal

This is a new venture, doing new things in new ways with new toys. Point and laugh if you’d like, but don’t assume that the tool bag isn’t sufficiently filled to make a difference for you.

In the meantime, my intention is to equip you with at least one article per week for your paid subscription. My credo is to under commit and over deliver - bang for the eight bucks monthly. Your subscription helps support our efforts on behalf of Christian’s businesses.
